I have been a passionate gardener for thirty years and hold a Diploma in Garden Design (with Distinction) from the Institute of Garden Design. I formed Kate Leith Garden Design Ltd in May 2012 and my numerous client projects since then reflect my love of plants and design, coupled with a very practical approach.

I am quite an informal person and my relationship with each client is very important to me. I believe it is essential that a garden reflects their needs and tastes, as well as their budget, and I take pride in offering an individually tailored service. I enjoy leading my clients through their garden transformation as we develop ideas together, to achieve their perfect garden.

My plans are hand drawn and I work with trusted contractors who share my aesthetic values and understand the importance of getting the details right. I am also able to provide construction drawings for clients who wish to use their own builder or landscaper.

I take great care with my planting plans to get the right mood for each particular garden – whether it be modern and minimalist, or traditional and romantic. Colour, structure and scent are all vitally important and I am quite fussy about sourcing exactly the right plant for each situation.
